Volunteering with Kindness Shake is a great opportunity to be involved in the support of the local community and to share your experience and knowledge with the community through various projects, events and more. Volunteering involves hands-on approach, and you'll benefit by developing your interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Who can become a volunteer?
You can become a volunteer with Kindness Shake if you are interested in giving back to the community and supporting your peers. It doesn't matter where or what you study or if you have already graduated. We welcome everyone from any background!
The qualities we look for in a volunteer include:
You must not have a record of breaching or be currently involved in a matter which breaches or potentially breaches the Code of Conduct of Kindness Shake.

We have two different types of volunteering positions:
Casual Volunteer: participating in our one-off, weekly or monthly projects and events. Expected commitment: 5-15 hours per project.
Permanent Volunteer: being part of a KS portfolio (for example, marketing), with a specific role. You will have a team leader that will guide you at all times. Expected commitment: 6-12 months, at least 3 hours per week.
For both positions you will be required to attend any required training sessions and meetings and you will also have to provide a copy of Working with Children Check. If you do not have one, the Kindness Shake will cover the cost for you to obtain one.
